
Brazilian and Barcelona star Phillipe Coutinho is on his way out of the Nou Camp in the January transfer with the player set to make a decision on his future today.
Aston Villa have been monitoring his situation and are plotting a move for the Brazilian star. Villa's head coach Steven Gerrard is keen to re-unite with the midfielder after playing alongside him at Anfield.
Coutinho is keen to make his return to England and Aston Villa is one of the two teams who are willing to sign the player.
His former club Liverpool is also in the race to sign the player and Coutinho has said he would be happy to return to Anfield once again. Liverpool however will have to battle with Steven Gerrard's Aston Villa.
Aston Villa remain the favourites to sign the player the player since Liverpool are not prioritizing signing a midfielder in this window.
