Reasons Why Greenwood Will Find It Difficult To Bounce Back To The Starting Lineup Once He Returns

Manchester United has indefinitely suspended Mason Greenwood after he was arrested on charges of rape and assault. The forward, who is only 20, will have to wait until the captain decides before he can rejoin the team. Mason Greenwood will have a tough time recovering his starting position once he gets back into the swing of things with his training. For the reasons listed below, he will spend most games not starting.

For starters, Ralf Rangnick is not going to start Greenwood in place of Jordan Sancho since Sancho has cemented his spot in the starting lineup. Although Mason will be returning to the starting lineup soon, Sancho will probably continue to play in the wings where he has been so effective.

Second, both Marcus Rashford and Antony Elanga have been superb as of late despite coming off the bench. Elanga or Rashford will likely replace Mason Greenwood in the starting lineup because Greenwood only thinks about himself when he has the ball.

In addition to the first two points, the club is also Antony, a winger for Ajax. The last night bounces to the starting lineup while Mason Greenwood starts on the bench.

Finally, he will have lost some of his physical fitness because he is not now actively training. Getting back into peak physical condition will take some time.
