Manchester United hosted rivals Fulham at Old Trafford in their final Premier League home fixture this seaaon & infront of 10000 fans. Manchester United had won 5 of their last 6 meetings against Fulham, including the reverse fixture 2-1 at Craven Cottage hence were favourite to clinch all the 3 points. Manchester United were optimistic to bounce back to winning ways after losing 2 consecutive home matches in the Premier League against Leceister City & Liverpool at the Theatre of Dreams. Manchester United dominated the ball possession in the first half with 60% & racked up to 6 shots on target which lead to Edinson Cavani 15th minute stunning goal after David De Gea long pass which was tapped by Bruno Fernandes to set up Cavani.
Edinson Cavani fizzed a superb lob over Fulham Goalkeeper Areola who was caught off guard to score unreal goal from 38 yards. Edinson Cavani has now scored 16 goals in all competitions for Manchester United including 10 goals in 26 Premier League appearances. Manchester United fans were happy with his quality & insisted Cavani should bever be benched again inorder for the red devils to remain consistent.
