Man City vs Westham
The hosts have by far the best defensive record in the league. They shipped only 15 goals in 25 matches so far. They continued the brilliant form with a 0-1 victory over Arsenal at Emirates Stadium.
The visitors have also done well defensively of late. They won 3 and drew one of the last 4 league matches conceding just two goals in the process.
Based on the last couple of H2H games and the teams’ recent defensive form, we are tempted to back the Under 3.5 goals FT.
The hosts are heavy favourites to win and we do believe they will snatch either 1-0 or 2-0 victory on Saturday. Manchester City to win to nil.
Prediction: Under 3.5 goals.
Westbrom vs Brighton
The visitors have played very well lately, but they just lack a predator in the final third (Neal Maupay is not the one). 6 of the last 71 matches they played ended with fewer than three goals scored as a consequence.
The host are in a kind of similar situation in terms of attack, but they have not been as good defensively as their Saturday opponents throughout the season.
The host scored only one goal in the last 3 outings. We don’t see them doing much in the final third past the rock-solid defence of Brighton’s and the away win pick looks nice.
Prediction: Brighton win either half.
Leeds vs Aston Villa
The visitors have been one of the most pleasant surprises of the season. However, they showed very little of their previous form in the last couple of fixtures.
They were completely outplayed by Brighton in a goalless draw at The AMEX, while they did nothing to hurt Leicester City in the last weekend’s 1-2 home defeat. Dean Smith’s team looks completely different without Jack Grealish in it.
The visitor’s skipper missed his first game of the season last weekend against the Foxes through injury and he is expected to be absent here against the Peacocks as well. Without him in the squad, Villa do not have much to hope for against the in-form Leeds side.
The home win is the way to go.Backing goals in Leeds’ matches is always a smart call. We’ll alternatively go with the Over 2.5 goals FT pick.
Prediction: Over 2.5 goals.
Newcastle vs Wolves
The visitors have tightened things up defensively of late. They conceded only two goals in the last 4 league outings, despite playing the likes of Arsenal, Leicester, Southampton, and Leeds in the process.
Pedro Neto looked very good in the last couple of weeks and we would not be surprised to see him causing problems to Newcastle’s back line on Saturday.
Although the hosts desperately need the victory here, we can hardly see them snatching one against such an in-form opposition. Without top scorer Callum Wilson in the line-up (out through injury), we can’t see them scoring on Saturday.
Wolves to win to nil is the way to go. Pedro Neto to score anytime.
Prediction: Wolves Win.
