Chelsea played against Real Madrid in the semifinal of the UEFA champions league in a 1-1 draw, a match that saw Chelsea dominate the first half while Real dominated the second half.Chelsea also dominated the last quarter of the match though could not do more harm to Real.
Chelsea Midfielder N'Golo Kante dominated much of the game, with some dangerous moves and tackles that won Chelsea the ball for match of the game. This saw him scoop the man of the match award. He has since received a lot of praises from fans and sports personalities across the world.
Here are three things we learned as Chelsea and Kante stepped up to the mark on the big stage yet again;
1.Thomas Tuchel's record against Real Madrid continues
Chelsea Manager's record against Zidane continues with Tuchel going unbeaten against Zidane in five matches they have faced each other. Tuchel has won once and drawn on four occasions.Tuchel’s now overseen a of 2-2 draw between Borussia Dortmund and Madrid, another 2-2 and 3-0 win PSG boss, and this 1-1 first leg.
2. Chelsea still lack a real scorer in the Center forward position:
Chelsea's problems in the attack still are unsolved moreso in the centre forward position where they lack a real. Chelsea forward Timo Werner is still a hard worker but he is yet to find a real run of goal-scoring form. He failed once again to find the back of the net on a day where he had several chances of doing so.
4.Old is gold-Karim Benzema is getting better with age.
Real's star striker is getting better and better by the day and his goal an equalizer against Chelsea sums up a good season, where he has scored 28 goals and seven assists in 40 matches this season. He is currently 13 goals behind no. 4 top scorer Santiliana on Real's all time top scorer list.
So what are the other things you learned from the game? Like, comment, share and follow.
