Team Kenya Produce Another Wonderful Results This Morning In Tokyo Olympic Games

Kenya's team this morning in Day three of Track and Field morning has produced wonderful result, Beatrice Chepkoech and Hyvin Kiyeng both qualified to finals joining Ferdinand Omanyala who yesterday became the first ever Kenyan to qualify in the100m race.

Beatrice Chepkoech women 3000m SC current champion and record holder came third clocking 9:19.82 in Heat 2. Chepkoech joins Hyvin Kiyeng who had who had earlier comfortably won in Heat 3 with a time of 9:23.17. They will both compete in the finals hoping to produce a maiden medal.

Purity Kirui finished fifth in the same race in Heat 1 clocking 9:30.13. Purity failed to qualify to the final level.

Kenya's sole representative in the 400mmen Emmanuel Korir was disqualified from the race with allegations of false start. Emmanuel will however compete in the 800m men in the semifinals with his compatriots Ferguson Rotich and Michael Saruni who had earlier qualified.

Kenyans are eagerly waiting for the first maiden medal from the ongoing competitions. So far Kenya is yet to win any medal but there are high chances of winning the first medal as most promising competitors have qualified to the finals.
