Argentine player Lionel Messi scored 91 goals in the 2012 calendar year hence setting a new record for the most goals ever scored in a single calendar year. Messi scored 79 goals with the Barcelona team and 12 goals with his Argentina national team.

Back in 2003/2004 English Premier League season, coach Arsene Wenger led Arsenal side to win the league title without losing any single match in the whole season. They won 26 matches and drew in 12 others.
