Briefing: Yesterday's Performance of Kenyan Players Abroad

Yesterday, a number of Kenyan players abroad featured for their teams.

Simba SC's defender, Joash Onyango watched as his side defeated Botswana side Jwaneng Galaxy, away in the first leg their second preliminary round CAF Champions League match.

The defender was named in the substitutes but did not play. The second leg of the fixture will be played this weekend with the winner on aggregate proceeding for the group stage of the competition.

AIK’s Eric Ouma alias Marcelo played the full match against Hammarby in their Swedish league fixture. Marcelo's side lost narrowly, 1-0 with the loss leaving them in third place with 44 points.

Another Kenyan Alwyn Ter came off the bench when his side, Ararat-Armenia defeated Ararat Yerevan 3-0 in the Albanian Premier League. 

Tera came in for Furdjel Narsingh in the 62nd minute when Ararat-Armenia was leading 1-0.

Brian Mandela featured for South African club Mamelodi Sundowns. His side settled on a 2-2 draw against AS Maniema in the CAF Champions League qualifiers.

Johanna Omolo was included in Kocaelispor’s starting lineup as they defeated Keciorengucu in the Turkish second tier.
