Manchester are seriously in need of a striker as the club recently terminated the contract of their main striker Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo and the club parted ways on a mutual agreement. United are now remaining with only one natural striker who is Anthony Martial.
Martial has been suffering from arecurring injury hence the club cannot depend on him.United wanted to sign a striker in the summer but could not go ahead as they still did not know the status of their striker Cristiano Ronaldo.
It was thought that Manchester United were going to sign Gakpo in the summer as the deal to bring Anthony Santos from Ajax seemed to had stalled.
With Anthony moving to Manchester United, United decided to wait until January transfer window in order to make a move for the striker.
Gakpo is a big fan of his fellow country Eric Ten Hag, he would not turn down any move to Manchester United.
It has been revealed that Manchester United manager is a big fan of the Dutch attacker and wants him at Manchester United. Ten hag wants the attacker because Gakpo can play across the forward line.
