Arsenal renews Eddie Nketiah's contract after wonderful performance against Chelsea

Eddie Nketiah scored twice as arsenal boosted their chances of qualifying for the champions league with a thrilling 4–2 victory over Chelsea at Stamford bridge. The 22 year old striker scored twice, at the start of each half as the gunners ended a run of three successive premier league losses. Arsenal has struggled in the last few premier league games after losing three consecutive matches to Southampton, Brighton and Hove Albion and Crysta Palace.

In Wednesday's thriller game against Chelsea, Arsenal was the first to score through Eddie Nketiah in the thirteenth minute. However, in the seventeenth minute, Chelsea scored an equalizer through Timo Werner. But Arsenal did not hold back. In the tweny seventh minute, Emile Smith Rowe scored his tenth premier league goal of the season with a low shot from outside 18. Chelsea's Cesar Azpilicueta fired a 2–2 equalizer in the thirty second minute. Eddie Nketiah and Bukayo Saka scored for Arsenal in the second half to make a brilliant 4–2 win.

Wednesday's win has now made arsenal to rise to position five in the premier league table ahead of Manchester United, and on level points with Tottenham Hotspurs.

In a drastic move, Arsenal has offered Eddie Nketiah a new contract following his Sterling performance against Chelsea. Nketiah's contract which was to end at the end of this season has been renewed.
