The Only Forward Who Won The Premier League Golden Boot Without Scoring A Single Penalty

Having the most goals in the English Premier League is not an easy thing due to the high competition in the league. Most good forwards and strikers in Europe have played in England but have not managed to be on top of the goal scoring list.

Some of these forwards include Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Diego Costa, Wayne Rooney, Alexandre Lacazette, Danny Ings, Alexis Sanchez Raul Jimenez, Roberto Firmino, Eden Hazard among others. They have never won the golden boot in England despite being prolific goal scorers.

The top scorer lost was tight lsst season when Tottenham striker Harry Kane manage to win the golden boot with 23 goals just one goal ahead of Salah who was his closest opponent. There is also a season three forwards in the Premier League won the golden boot having tied together by 22 goals during the 2018-19 campaign when three Africans Salah, Mane and Aubameyang won the top accolade.

Every season a striker tops the goal scoring chats he must have a few gaols he scored through a penalty spot. However, current Atletico Madrid target man Luis Suarez once won the English Premier League golden boot without having a single penalty when he was playing for Liverpool.

During the 2013/14 Premier League campaign the Uruguayan star was the winner of the award having scored 31 league goals for the Reds. The 34-year-old has missed ten opening games that season but made a great comeback and topped the list without a single penalty.

Suarez had 31 goal that season and provided 13 assists which saw him draw level in Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo who had scored 31 goala in 2007-08. Suarez did nit manage to help Liverpool win a trophy that season despite these incredible numbers but he won the PFA Player of The Year. He will always be considered one of the best strikers to play in the Premier League and one of the greatest of his generation.
