UEFA Champions League

Revealed: Bad News to Man United as they Could be Forced to Play Young Boys on Neutral Ground

Although there is an air of excitement around Old Trafford after the recent announcement of Ralf Rangnick as the new interim manager for the rest of the season, United fans will have to wait anxiously as they await the news of their Champions League return leg against Young Boys that was scheduled to be played at Old Trafford.

According to the Telegraph, Manchester United might be forced to play it's match against Young Boys on neutral venue. This is due to the restrictions that have been elevated after the recent spread of the new Omicron Covid variant that is spreading throughout the world.

Various reports have suggested that Switzerland has placed tough restriction barring its citizens from traveling to some countries. This puts the game between Young Boys and United in jeopardy. However, UEFA is working hard to try and determine if that will affect the chances of the game taking place in England. If there will be restrictions then United must provide a neutral venue to host the match.

The Red Devils were hoping to avenge the 2-1 loss at the hands of Young Boys in the second leg. However, it now seems those plans may not come to fruition. Let's wait and see what UEFA will decide.

Is this unfair for United? Or this does not matter since United have already qualified for the knockout stages?
