Saturday 15th January Expertly Crafted Soccer Picks To Watch Out

SPORTING GIJON VS CADIZ.

Sporting Gijon are not having the best of seasons, currently sitting in the bottom half of the Spanish second tier, but they have had a good run in the Copa del Rey and knocked out La Liga side Villarreal in the last round.

They are in fact unbeaten in their last five games on home soil, but four of those fixtures have ended as 1-1 draws, showing they struggle to put matches to bed and are rarely keeping clean sheets.

However, their games are not overloaded with goals. Only two of their last nine matches at all venues have included three or more goals, and this should be another tight contest.

Cadiz are struggling in La Liga, but their recent away form is impressive, notching up three successive clean sheets before a 2-0 defeat to Osasuna, a run that included a 0-0 draw at the Bernabeu against Real Madrid.

This is a first game for new manager Sergio González, so it is not entirely clear how they will line up, but you can be sure he will be keen to build on those strong defensive foundations.

As good as they are at the back, there are problems going forward for Cadiz, scoring just twice in their last five matches, while none of their last four on the road have contained more than two goals.

Prediction:Both teams to score.

MANCHESTER CITY VS CHELSEA.

The hosts have conceded an average of 1.76 goals while the visitors have conceded an average of 1.89 goals.

Prediction:Both teams to score.
