Man United 0-5 Liverpool: Most Controversial Decisions Made by the Referee

It's a moment frustration, a time of bad memory and a period of sad news to Manchester United fans all over the world. The most embarrassing score picked by the Red Devils in a long time and will take longer to make a payback if any. A ruthless 5-0 beating by historical rivals, Liverpool to Man United is what the score line read at the end of the final whistle.

However, the centre referee, Antony Tailor should be seriously blamed for some of his decisions today. Though he was perfect in someway considering the pressure behind when this teams meet, atleast he should have been more active and very attentive in the field.

Didn't Christiano Ronaldo's careless take on Liverpool wonder kid Curtis Jones deserve a more punishment than given? After bringing Jones down, Ronaldo intentionally kicked the ball right at the Reds midfielders' stomach. This was an eyebrow raising action from the experienced Portugal forward.

Furthermore, Ronaldo's frustration driven action raised the temperature of the game and had to stop for some seconds as players from both teams were involved in a dramatic misunderstanding. Luckily for the Portuguese, the ref was not strict enough to give a red card. This decision from Antony Tailor is however debatable as he became too smooth for Ronaldo.

As the day seemed to be against his expectations, Ronaldo's goal was ruled out by a VAR review for an almost imaginary offside. The rest of the game became too hard for the Portuguese.

Unfortunately, the Red Devils could not walk away from a severe punishment. Substitute Paul Pogba, who came in for Mason Greenwood at the beginning of first half, made hard slide tackle on Nabby Keita and was booked. The VAR review however turned the decision for a straight red card dealing the Red Devils another blow.

Which decision do you think was the worst from the Man United vs Liverpool centre referee?
