Lionel Andres Messi is a professional footballer who acts as a captain and a forward for both Argentina National Team and the Spanish club Barcelona.
He is mostly seen as the best player in the world and considered to be the greatest player of all times. His exquisite talent and hard work have made him win awards and golden shoes.
The veteran footballer lives in an eco-friendly home in Gava a town that is 6 miles from Barcelona's main airport El Prat. Messi's estate prevents the airport from expanding.
Javier Sanchez Prieto the president of Spanish Vueling Airlines said in a press conference the interesting reason why the airport can't reach Gava. He said, "Planes are cannot fly over Messi's house and the surrounding area. It's the only place that's like that."
However, Messi has nothing to do with that occurrence. The town is guarded by environmental laws that don't allow noisy activities from the surrounding.
The noise produced by the planes upsets the wildlife in that area and so they have to be protected. Also, the runway is only used for ascending since landing yields a lot of noise that irritate the creatures that live in Gava Mar.
