Arsenal: Striker Credits his Success to his Father, Ben White's Rival, Smith Rowe's Progress

Rob Holding

Arsenal’s defense has not conceded a goal in the last three competitive matches and that is courtesy of the great work that is being done by the defenders, especially the center backs. In yesterday’s showdown, Rob Holding was the golden wall at Arsenal’s defense as he was the one commanding and organizing the backline.

From the statistics, Rob Holding’s 95% passing accuracy showed just how cautious and calm the 26-year-old is at the heart of the defense. He also made the most clearances and recoveries than any other on-field player in the game. If he continues like this, he might take on Ben White for the first eleven selection in the squad.

Emile Smith Rowe

Arsenal’s Emile Smith Rowe is slowly gaining prominence among the Arsenal fans once again especially after he scored a free goal against Championship side AFC Wimbledon yesternight. His celebration showed just how important the goal was for him because he hadn’t scored a single goal for the Gunners since the season began.

Mikel Arteta has applied several tactics to involve him in the game and create chances for him to score but he has been very lucky. However, following yesterday’s performance, fans expect Emile Smith Rowe to pick up his form and score in subsequent matches as well, most especially against Spurs on Sunday. It should be remembered that the last time Arsenal met Tottenham, Emile Smith Rowe hit the post denying him a goal.

Mika Biereth

Arsenal’s U23 star striker Mika Biereth has attributed his achievements to his father who has been his pushing force in his footballing career. He said that his father is quite obsessed with his performance that he even has spreadsheets of his stats in his house. He added that without his father's encouragement and effort to sharpen him, Biereth would not be anywhere close to what he is at today.
