Details emerging indicates that Cabinet secretary for Youth Affairs, Sports and the Arts Hon Ababu Namwamba has today announced that CF Montreal defensive midfielder has returned to play for Harambee Stars.
Taking to his social media accounts, Hon Ababu Namwamba revealed that Victor Wanyama has agreed to fully return back to Harambee Stars. This is one of the move that has been taken by the ministry to rebuild Kenya's football and raise the bar for the national teams.
Victor Wanyama had announced his retirement from international football, after fifteen years of service for the Kenyan national team. He left Harambe Stars after scoring seven goals in 71 appearances.
His final goal to Kenyan team came in the 3-0 victory over Ethiopia, which helped Kenya qualify for the 2019 Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
