According to reliable sources, Newcastle United have reportedly placed their interest in Manchester United’s Jesse Lingard who is struggling to get playing minutes under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Newcastle United are said to have launched board talks over signing Jesse Lingard but nothing concrete has yet been agreed upon. Lingard on the other hand might fancy the chance to leave Old Trafford because of the lost faith Solskjaer has in him.
West Ham United were the favorites to sign the 27-year-old, but after scoring against them in the dying minutes of an EPL fixture this season, fans changed their mind and said that they do not want him back again. Newcastle fans, however, don’t hold any grudge against the attacker and they are open to anything at the moment because signing Lingard will be a huge boost for them this season and beyond.
Raphael Varane recently picked up a groin injury against Spain in the United Nations League finals, consequently ruling him out of match selection for a few weeks. His injury has been a huge blow to the Manchester United fraternity but plans to fill his absence in defense are already in motion. Another blow is the fact that Harry Maguire also picked up a muscular injury that will need at least 3 weeks to be fully healed.
Bruno Fernandes showed his support for the two defenders after he sent each one of them a heartwarming message meant to inspire their quick recovery. The message read,” I know you feel gutted right now about the injury you sustained while representing your country. The team will miss you for the next few weeks but we will keep on praying for you so that you get better soon.”
Manchester United fans have already started taunting the appointment of Cristiano Ronaldo as Manchester United’s next coach. The Portuguese striker showed his managerial skills during the 2-1 loss to Young Boys in a UCL fixture and fans believe that his barking orders were in some way effective in preventing Manchester United from conceding more goals. But is Ronaldo really interested in coaching Manchester United after retirement?
