Kenyans, Ian Otieno And Jesse Were's Zambian Club Fails To Qualify For The Next CAF Round.

Zambian side Zesco United this evening won 2-1 against Royal Leopards from Botswana. Zesco United had lost 1-0 to Royal Leopards a week ago and were determined to overturn this result by winning their match today so as to qualify for the next round of the CAF Champions League competition.

Zesco United which is home to two Kenyan international - goalkeeper Ian Otieno and forward Jesse Were - has been eliminated on away goal rule despite tying with Royal Leopards on aggregate, 2-2.

Zimbabwean Tafadzawa Rusike put Zesco United ahead before Junior leveled the score within five minutes. The first half ended 1-1 and 2-1 on aggregate in favour of the visitors Royal Leopards.

Winston Kalengo scored Zesco's second goal barely 5 minutes into the second half. However, the match ended 2-1 which was a positive result for the visitors.

Ian Otieno and Jesse Were were not that lucky today as their side is out of the continental competition.
