Mikel Arteta's team needs reinforcement in various departments and mostly attacking options after securing the signing of an attacking midfielder from Real Madrid on loan spell with an option to buy him on a permanent deal also available.
Reports claims that Arsenal are reportedly closing in on an agreement to land Sporting Lisbon wonderkid Tiago Tomas in the summer transfer window.
Tomas, 18, caught the attention of Edu and Mikel Arteta while the pair watched their clash with benfica which the Gunners will be facing in Europa round of 32.
He has so far scored four goals in sporting's first team where he was handed a debut back in 2020.
According to The Sun, Arsenal technical director Edu was so impressed with Tomas that Sporting’s director of football, Hugo Viana, was approached shortly after the game to discuss a possible deal and a deal has been agreed with a cut price of £20m accepted by the Gunners from expected release clause of £50m.
Arsenal are not meant to repeat the same mistake they did with Cristiano Ronaldo before the Portuguese joined Manchester United back in 2003.
Tiago Tomas will now join arsenal in summer and he will be a good addition to Mikel Arteta's side as he's still young.
Lastly, in your opinion, Do you think Tiago Tomas is a good signing to the Gunners?
