According to the Express, Edu got into an agreement with Juventus over an 18 months loan deal for Arthur. With an option to buy him for £34m later however the Gunners board turned down that deal.

Melo was signed by Juventus for £72m in 2020 from Barcelona. He has made just 29 appearances in one- and-half-season he has been with the Old Lady while scoring one goal.
