Champions League Survival Race For Chelsea Ahead Of Leeds Clash

Chelsea currently third in the Epl table, up by one point against their fellow London Mates travel to face bottom placed Leeds who are currently 18th in the table on 11th May Night. Leeds are on a verge of fighting for a survival to remain in the top league in the world while Chelsea are trying to increase the gap between them and 4th placed Arsenal and secure the Champions League qualification spot.

Chelsea have got a final to play against Liverpool on 14th this Month (FA cup final) and several fixtures which need thorough preparation (Vs Leicester City and Watford) and hence a challenge considering some key players in the first team have been out due to various injuries and need 5 points for them to be safe. Players like Ben Chilwell and Hudson Odoi are not expected to return anytime soon while Jorghino and Kante were given updates on their expected return by the boss in the pre-match conference for Leed. For Jorghino, he did attend training but the match comes too soon for him according to the boss while Kante was not in the training and so unpredictable of his injury depth though he is being expected to return to training sooner. The rest of the squad trained well including Marcos Alonso who played only First Half last week Vs Wolves.

Leeds United are not in good form after losing twice in a row Vs Manchester City and Arsenal respectively. If they lose, they are a red line and likely to be relegated after Norwich and Watford being relegated. Some of the first team players might miss the game due to suspension and injury. Luke Ayling is out due to a suspension while Stuart Dallas, Adam Forshaw, Patrick Bamford and Summerville are expected to miss the game due to injuries at various parts.

Chelsea will also be keen on their long admirer winger Raphinha’s gameplay. Chelsea’s predicted lineup include Edouard Mendy-Antonio Rudiger-Trevoh Chalobah-Andreas Christensen-Saul-Loftus Cheek-Mateo Kovacic-Reece James-Mason Mount-Romelu Lukaku-Kai Havertz, while Leed’s predicted line up include; Meslier-Diego Liorente-Pascal Struijk-Robin Koch-Junior Firpo-Mateusz-Kalvin Philips-Raphinha-Rodrigo-Jack Harrison-Joe Gelhardt.

The clash is of no any other and deserves all attention. Two teams fighting for positions. First leg having been dramatic after Chelsea player Jorghino converting two penalties including one at the last minute,94th and Chelsea winning at a march of 1 goal (3-2), can the second leg be more dramatic than the first one considering both teams are out of form, leave your comment below on the comment section.
