Chelsea: Winger to Return to Former Club- How Tuchel Could Make a U-turn Decision on Pulisic

Chelsea have been one of the busiest bees this summer. They have completed a number of signings while at the same time lost some of their valued players. Tuchel and Boehly have been working hand in hand to get the right players who can help the club get back on track, but so far have only managed to lure 4 top signings. The number of players they have traded off to other teams is comparatively larger than the number of players they have landed this summer.

One player who is likely to add to the number of outgoings is Morrocan playmaker Hakim Ziyech. It is understood that he is planning on retuning back to Ajax, where his career thrived under the able management of Erik Ten Hag a few years ago. Chelsea are open to selling the left footed winger, but only for a worthwhile transfer fee. The Blues are yet to quote a specific price tag for the 28 year old, but it is believed nothing less than €25 Million will be accepted.

Ziyech may have had a short stint at Stamford Bridge but his unique playing style was a wonder for many. Under Frank Lampard, he exceled in very many aspects since he often played in his natural position. Tuchel however made his life difficult at the club by changing the tactical approach and formation of the squad. Adapting to a 3-4-3 formation is an uphill task for many. Lukaku and Werner were clear examples of world class players who struggled to conform to the set up.

The reverse decision on Christian Pulisic…

If Ziyech moves away from the club within the next one week, there is a big chance that Christian Pulisic might be allowed to stay for one more season. It was earlier reported that the club was considering loaning out the American to create space for a more prolific winger. But since there are only 8 days remaining in the transfer window, it will be impossible for Chelsea to sign a quick replacement for Ziyech in the last minute.

Pulisic’s goal tally is not so good nor is it too ugly, but his influence in attack is far from average. The 25 year old always gives his all when playing for Chelsea since he knows the level of competition he has to contend with everyday to get a place in the starting eleven. Being linked with an away move should be a wake up call for him to work twice as hard and avoid injury as much as possible this season.

Do you think Pulisic could make great use of a second chance at the club?
