The secretary of Gor Mahia football club has issued a message to the club fans after reports that Ambrose Rachier the Club chairman is a member of Freemason.
Ambrose Rachier revealed that he is a member of Freemason a movement that has faced criticisms from many people who allege that it is a devil worship organisation.However,the chairman stated that Freemason is a rotary movement that is focused on helping the needy.
After the video of the Gor Mahia football club chairman went viral,the Club secretary general issued a statement saying,"as the SG of Gor Mahia FC and on behalf of EC,I watched with interest the chairman's interview about the Freemasons.The EC members,players, employees and the Mighty of Gor Mahia FC want to assure our fans that we are not part of the Freemasons society.And that our chairman's affiliation to that society is a personal journey as attested in the media.The EC kindly requests all fans to stay calm as we mitigate the way forward."
The Gor Mahia football club secretary general asked the fans not to be worried about the club despite the chairman being a member of Freemason society.
