Ex Chelsea assistant talks on Christensen's refusal to play matches says He did it to Lampard

Jody Morris, who used to work with Frank Lampard at Chelsea, said that Andreas Christensen, a defender who left the team, has a history of bailing out of games.

Thomas Tuchel didn't pick the 26-year-old Danish international for Saturday's FA Cup final against Liverpool.

Chelsea lost the shootout by a score of 6 to 5.

Tuchel was upset by the decision. He said that Christensen had good reasons for not playing, but Chelsea was short-handed because of the Dane's absence at the last minute.

Morris says that Lampard did the same things when he was at Stamford Bridge for a short time between 2019 and 2021.

"To be honest, we did it (pulling out of games) while we were here working with Andreas," Moris told Stadium Astro.

"You never know what your teammates are going through." No matter what it is off the field, whether it's nerves or something else.

"Andreas had it a few times, but I don't think he was the only one who did." He's probably more honest with you about that."

Christensen has already decided to join Barcelona in the summer, and Tuchel hinted on Wednesday that the Dane may have played his last game for the club.
