Stephanie Frappart became the first ever Female referee to officiate men's world cup qualifiers match during Netherland's 2-0 victory against Latvia on Saturday.
The Dutch were hoping to make ammends for their 4-2 loss against Turkey in their opener when they hosted minnows Latvia at Amsterdam on Saturday. Steven Berghuis and Luuk De jong scored either sides of the half to seal the victory for the hosts after a dominant display.
The French woman gained reputation for taking charge of the 2019 Super Cup match between Liverpool vs Chelsea and has also refereed Ligue 1 matches which is the France top tier competition.
The 37 year old has vast experience and is slowly building a good CV, she also became the first female to officiate men's Champions league match which was between Juventus vs Dynamo kyiv in the group stages. The match ended 3-0 in favour of Italian heavyweights Juventus.
