Michael Olunga's Message After Scoring Five Goals

Kenyan international Michael Ogada Olunga on Sunday become the first Kenyan to score five goals in a Qatar Stars League (QSL).

The forward came off the bench to score the goals for his Al-Duhail side, in a span of 29 minutes (56th-85th) as they thrashed Al Sailiya 5-0 at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium in Doha.

However, he fell short of the 8-goals record he set in Japan in November 2019. He scored the goals as his then side, Kashiwa Reysol humiliated Kyoto Sanga 13-1 in the Japanese second tier league match.

After Sunday exploits, Olunga has posted a series of messages on his social media pages thanking God for the far he has gone.

"The comeback is always greater than the set back. God my pillar of strength," he said in one of the messages. The striker had missed Al-Duhail's last match due to an injury.

"Romans 8:31: What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?" said Olunga in another post.

Kenyans continue to congratulate him for the good work he is doing in Qatar. He is the league's top scorer with 7 goals.
