Footballers have been forced to eat their words after speaking too soon. Indeed, even the likes of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Robert Lewandoski, rarely boast before facing any team.
That has however not stopped new Manchester City Striker Erling Haaland from taunting Man United fans. The Man City Striker was signed from Borussia Dortmund for 53million and has been inducted into Pep Guardiola's star studded squad.
Haaland will be assisted by the likes of Kelvin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva, Phil Foden and Riyad Mahrez.
Hence, Premier League defenders might feel the need to worry because of him given how easily he manages to score goals, dominate defenders or his quick pace.
The striker was recently approached for an interview as he seemed to send a slight dig towards Man United. Haaland was asked the team which he was looking forward to face the most in the league.
He ended up mentioning Man United who conceded multiple goals last season. Man United were linked with signing Haaland when Soleskjaer was still in charge but he ended up joining Dortmund instead.
