Arsenal Close To Land Midfield Machine

According to reports from Mundo Deportivo, the Gunners are close to finalising the transfer deal of Real Madrid and Norway playmaker Martin Ordegaad after the player has agreed to depart Santiago Bernabeu permanently.

The Spanish heavyweights have agreed on a fee close to €50 million and the Gunners reported to be eager for the 22 year old to land at the Emirates Stadium before the transfer window comes to an end.

The Gunners have been struggling since last season due to the absence of creativity in the final third which forced them to target midfielders like James Madison, Hussein Aouar and Jack Grealish this summer.

During their first game of the season against newly promoted side Brentford at the Community Stadium, the Gunners were seen struggling to find the back of the net which led them to lose the three crucial points by being defeated 2-0.

With their next game against the European champions Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal will be desperate to have Martin Ordegaad in the squad and try to alteast revive their top four hopes.
