The Kenyan Members of Parliament have outshone their counterparts from the East African region in Athletics at the ongoing Inter-Parliamentary games in Juba, South Sudan.
The Kenyan legislators participating in today’s Athletics started the winning streak with an unmatched 100 Meters Winning Sprint by Mwala MP Hon Vincent Musau (alias Kawaya). Kenya’s Second win was by Homabay Senator Hon Moses Kajwang’ in the Men’s 400 Meters Race. Mumias East MP Hon Peter Salasya unrelentingly came second in this race that was conducted in two rounds.
Another very Impressive Perfomance was by Bomet County Woman Representative Hon Linet Jepkorir (Toto) who came second in the 200M women’s race, beating her competitors except for Uganda that led by a negligible amount of time.
Hon Musyoka, barely an hour after winning the 100M men’s race, jolted Kenya to another victory of the 200M men’s race, sending the whole stadium into a frenzy.
Other Legislators who recordes remarkable performance in today’s races include Kuresoi North MP Hon Alfred Kiprono Mutai, Hon Charles Nguna of Mwingi West Constituency, Hon Rebecca Tonkei of Narok County, Hon Carolyne Ng’elechei, and Hon Mary Emase of Teso South, among many others who put up a spirited fight for Kenya’s glory.
The Final races will be run within the week even as Kenyan Legislators continue to victoriously hoist our National flag in Juba.
