Former Manchester City and Aston Villa talisman Micah Richards has recognised that the success of a club strongly depends on the foundation of a team which is the central defense.
In the Premier league currently, successful clubs are said to have the best patnership between their central defenders, something that protects them from conceding goals.
Taking Arsenal football club as an example in the premier league, Micah Richard has applauded Arsenal's central defenders for the current job the duo is doing for Arteta's side.
He holds the view that the Gunners are currently sitting fourth in the Premier league table courtesy of these two solid blocks. Ben White and Gabriel Maghales.

The former Manchester City skipper has made references to Arsenal's past matches with the duo as their central defenders as rates them according to cleansheets they have made for Arsenal.
Out of 23 appearances they have made for the Gunner the two stalwarts with the assistant of their shot stopper Ramsdel have managed a total of 12 cleansheet.
" You have to start with the foundations and you look at the partnership of [Ben] White and Gabriel [ Magalhaes] at the back. It is 12 clean sheets now in 23 games which is excellent.
