Melo has struggled in Serie A since joining Juventus in 2020, and the club is eager to cash in on him.
Melo has a golden opportunity to resurrect his career in the Premier League by joining Arsenal, and according to Sky Sports transfer guru Kaveh Solhekol, everyone (at Arsenal and Juventus) is pushing for Melo to make the switch:
"The situation with Arthur is simple. Arsenal want to sign him, he wants to sign, and Juventus are prepared to let him go.
"But it’s complicated too—the discussions are centred around how long any loan would be and whether there would be an option or obligation for Arsenal to buy it. Arsenal also have some other targets, but the player’s agent has been in London this week for talks with them. So it is one that could happen, but nothing is imminent at the moment. "
Fingers crossed that Melo will be a Gunner after the international break, and that he can rediscover his form in the Premier League. As one wise man once said, "form is fleeting, but class is eternal."
