Kipchoge became the first man to ever complete a marathon under two hours in a specialised race organized by British multinational chemicals company Ineos. He clocked 1:59:40 to achieve the target.
Isuzu East Africa Managing Director Rita Kavashe said the new model is to celebrate the achievements of Kipchoge who recently lowered his world record by 30 seconds.
At the ceremony, Kipchoge signed an additional two year contract with Isuzu East Africa as a Brand Ambassador for the Isuzu D-Max Pick up. He will represent Isuzu in Kenya and engage in local activities to promote the D-Max.Kipchoge was gifted two Isuzu Dmax pick ups after his record breaking wins in the Berlin Marathon in 2018 and after beating the clock in the sub 2 hour INEOS 1:59 Marathon challenge in Austria.
She added; “Part of the proceeds will go towards the Eliud Kipchoge Foundation, which plays a role in promoting and nurturing young talent especially in Kaptagat, where Kipchoge trains.
