Kenyan Clubs In Crisis On How To Pay Players.

Following the huge rise in the numbers of Covid 19 infections in the country, the President last week had to put all sporting activities in a standstill. The Kenya Premier League had really picked up well and players had returned back to their normal day to day activities.

This suspension has had to make the team officials to re-plan as the players are not even allowed to participate in training. Teams have come up with different ways to keep their players fits. The players are being provided with training programs in which they are supposed to take.

Others have had to go in a short break as players have to find other ways to source their income. The suspension has not only affected the players fitness but has also brought a big economic hardship to the team managements. Some of the teams sponsor being affected majorly by the lock down. For example Tusker FC sponsors East Africa Breweries Limited has been majorly affected as their products are not on sale following closure of bars
