Best Bicycle Kicks of All Time That Left Football World in Amazement (Photos)

Oliver Giroud

Giroud, a former Chelsea striker famed for his many odd goals, was surprised even by himself when he expertly completed a Bicycle kick against Atletico Madrid in the Uefa Champions League round of 16.

Juventus was crushed 3-0 by the Spanish powerhouses in the opening leg of their Champions League quarterfinal, with Ronaldo scoring twice. The 33-year-old Portuguese player leaped almost unnaturally high before bicycle-kicking the ball acrobatically into the net's corner.

Lionel Messi's amazing bicycle kick gave Paris Saint-Germain a 5-0 victory against Clermont on Saturday in the inaugural match of the new Ligue 1.

The Argentine seized Leandro Paredes' pass, controlled it with his chest, then acrobatically lifted the ball over the goalkeeper to score the best of the bunch.

Gareth Bale

Costa Rican winger Johan Venegas has scored a goal for Alajuelense in a similar fashion to the bicycle kick that Real Madrid's Gareth Bale used against Liverpool in the 2018 Champions League final.

Wayne Rooney

At Old Trafford, Rooney's magnificent overhead kick gave Manchester United a 2-1 victory against City in the local derby.

With the victory, United edged out City to win the 2010–11 Premier League title. Rooney's acrobatic goal was later chosen as the greatest in Premier League history
