"Next Season Is A Different Season, " Ten Hag Responded About The Next Manchester United Captain

Eric Ten Hag took over Manchester United managerial job today as he hopes to help them get back on track after struggling last season where they ended up finishing sixth in the Premier League table.

There are massive changes that he is expected to make at Manchester United which includes the captaincy role. Harry Maguire has been the captain for Manchester United in the last two seasons.

The former Leicester defender joined United with a world record fee of 80 million pounds during the era of Ole Gunnar. The Norwegian decided to hand him the armband as he hopes he'll lead United well from the defence.

The Englishman ended up enjoying his second season where he helped United reach Europa final Europa finished second in the Premier League table. However things took a different turn where he ended up struggling last season something which made Rangnick to start him from the bench in most matches.

Bruno Fernandez has been the captain in the absence of Maguire for quite a while last season. Next season things are going to be different as there might be a new captain for Manchester United. This is after Ten Hag was asked about Harry Maguire remaining to be the captain next season where he responded there might be some changes.

During an interview, he praised Maguire as he suggested he is looking forward to work with him. The following is all Ten Hag said about Maguire remaining to be the captain next season,

"Next season is a different season, but he did a great job, he is a great player, he already achieved a lot with his contribution to Manchester United. I’m looking forward to working with him," said Ten Hag.
