Ten Hag has a big task to make sure Manchester United return to the winning ways they enjoyed during the Alex Ferguson era. United fans want trophies and they believe the Ajax boss is capable of delivering that at Old Trafford.
As a part of the rebuild, Erik Ten Hag has several players he will release in the current squad and replace them with a hardworking force that will move the club to the level fans demand.
And Manchester United former midfielder Paul Scholes has named a player the new boss will not release from the current team as he will be vital in the fight for the title the next season.Erik Ten Hag and Sebastian Haller(photo courtesy)

According to Scholes, Erik Ten Hag will block Jesse Lingard from leaving Manchester United this summer. Scholes says Lingard will fit Erik Ten Hag's style of play and get crucial playing minutes he wants at Old Trafford.

This comes at a time when Lingard has made more than 200 appearances for Manchester United and he is frustrated with the current situation where he has found it difficult to get some minutes.
Both West Ham United and Newcastle United are interested in signing the English man this summer and ours is to wait and see what happens at the end of the season.
