As the African Cup of Nations continues, we are experiencing minor teams stunning other top countries that boost great talents who are playing in the best leagues in the world. The latest being the South-Eastern country of Malawi that was almost becoming disastrous to AFCON giants Morocco in their match during the knock-out stage.
Their little-known striker Gabadinho Mhango has sold his name after pulling a wonder strike to give Malawi a surprise lead. He scored the goal from a 40-yard mile to beat Yassine Bounou who is one of the best goalkeepers at the tournament. He also plays for the Spanish team, Seville. It has been a while when African soccer fans witnessed such a strike. Even European soccer channels have expressed their joy after seeing this.
Due to their insufficient experience and the deep quality of Morroco's squad, they fell behind after an equalizer from Youssef El-Nesyri and Achcraf Hakimi that sealed their victory to progress to the quarter finals.
