Manchester United played in the Champions League on Wednesday night against Villarreal.
The match was played at Old Trafford and many fans expected Manchester United to dominate. The Red Devils were coming into the match after losing by a goal to nil in the Premier League against Aston Villa.
Solksjaer changed his lineup a bit as he started Paul Pogba as a defensive midfielder.. He then played Jadon Sancho as a winger; the position he had been playing Paul Pogba since the start of the season. Raphael Varane also started as a centre back.
Villarreal was the better team from the opening minutes of the game. They attacked well and were very confident when they had the ball.
Villarreal were the first to score. Manchester United responded by scoring two goals in the second half. Thanks to Alex Telles and Cristiano Ronaldo. However, fans were not impressed by how Manchester United played.
Many had the opinion that Solksjaer should be sacked and a better manager like Zidane should be hired. See the reactions down below:
