Both Anthony Martial and Jessee Lingard have struggled for game time under Ole Gunnar Solkjaer. Lingard recently turned down a contract extension offer from Manchester United wanting to be assured of game time, which has been difficult to come in recent weeks.
He turned down an offer to move to Newcastle United last January on loan and favored joining David Moyes at West Ham United. He will now consider the move if Newcastle makes a formal approach.
