Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed this evening that Edinson Cavani will not travel to Milan with the squad despite being named in the line up.
Cavani had resumed training last weekend alongside team mates Donny Van De Beek and Paul Pogba, all who have been away due to injury. Goalkeeper David De Gea also rejoined the squad after being away attending to personal issues.
Solskjaer's statement read in part, "Unfortunately, it looks like Edinson has got a bit of reaction to training today and didn't feel ready to travel."
There has been growing speculation on the Uruguayan's future at Old Trafford, who is said to want to leave United at the end of the season.
Manchester United face AC Milan in the second leg of the Europa League last 16 tie tomorrow at San Siro. The first leg ended in a 1-1 draw last week at Old Trafford.
