This evening has seen a very controversial decision given to Arsenal, which will leave many wondering what exactly happened. Emile Smith Rowe managed to score this contentious goal in the 17th minute of the game.
This happened after the goalkeeper De Gea without being tackled, or any physical contact apparently went down and could not defend against the goal.
Carrick, the caretaker manager, will certainly have a lot to say about this goal, as the Manchester United Manager, Ragnick, was not able to report to work yet due to visa issues.
The referee did not seem as if he would give the goal to Arsenal, but after a while it seems as if a decision was made for him to confirm the goal.
This confirmation will be felt after this game, as we are sure a lot will be said about it. Fifa ’s rules are changing as time goes by and although not impressive we wonder about the future of this beautiful game.
It was honestly an embarrassing goal to be awarded, with this goal being one of the many times indicating Manchester United's weakness at defense.
De Gea will not have to blame himself, as there was also some confusion after apparently the whistle had apparently been blown just after the goal had gone through the net.
Manchester United has to take full control of this mistake leading to this first goal going through and should try to do its best to revamp their defense.
