Manchester United Break Forty Five Year Hoodoos With Win Over Burnley And Set New Records

Manchester United have now won five successive Premier League games for the first time since January 2019, when Solskjaer was still caretaker manager.

This is after recording a 3-1 win over Burnley with Mason Greenwood's brace and Edison Cavani's last minute strike sealing the points for them.

On the other hand, the Red Devils completed their first league double over Burnley for the first time since 1975/76 season. A hoodoo which has stood for nearly 46 years.

Also United have recorded victory over Burnley for the first time since 2015. The only standing record is Chris Smalling still remains the last Manchester United player to score against Sean Dyche's men in the first half.

This indeed shows progress. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is transforming the club back to a powerhouse it used to be. What's remaining is only silverware.

Manchester United are in the last four of the Europa league and maybe Solskjaer will end their four year trophy drought by delivering the trophy.
