Paulo Dybala Was Stunned By The Raucous Welcome Party From Thousands Of Roma Supporters

Roma supporters gathered to welcome their new signing, Paulo Dybala, and gave him a breath-taking welcome.

Around 8,000 supporters cheered for the striker as if he were a warrior entering the Roman Colosseum for combat, brandishing banners and flares.

When the Argentine left Juventus at the conclusion of the previous season, he was given a standing ovation.

The forward will have found the reception he received in Rome on Tuesday night at the Palazzo Della Civilta to be much more surreal.

The club anthem played as Dybala emerged from the shadows, and the square was illuminated by a large number of phone torches.

As he raised his arms to applaud his new supporters, the 28-year-old could be seen to be visibly shocked.

The star then sat on the steps of the well-known building to take it all in after he had used the microphone to acknowledge and salute the Roma faithful.

Along with the video of the amazing scenes, the club Instagram wrote, "In Rome we welcome people differently.

"Today, having experienced all this, I'm realising that I just cannot wait to run out at the Olimpico in front of the Curva Sud," Dybala said after the welcome party.

On the team's social media pages, fans were asked to describe the ambience using one emoji, with Dybala posting the most comments.

The number 21 was simply marked with a love heart.

On Saturday, Dybala will make his preseason debut against Tottenham Hotspur, the former club of Roma manager Jose Mourinho.

When it appeared that the Argentina international might leave Juventus a few seasons ago, Spurs were one of the clubs associated with signing him.
