The Reds of Merseyside, as Popularly known, are one of the English Clubs Facing a great defeat and the ability to contest for the title, months after their talisman and key player, Sadio Mane, Senegal International Midfielder signed with Germany Giants, Bayern Munich. Their star power is exhausted and restoration is their only choice.
In this regard their head coch, Jürgen Klopp, has responded by tabling favorite players to be signed by the 2020/2021 EPL Winners. After Landing Dutch winger and former PSV player, Cody Gakpo, Liverpool were set to sign Jude Bellingham, an England International and Attacking Midfielder at Borrusia Dortmund.
However, their hopes seems thwarted after emerging reports from Goal, revealed that Bellingham would rather play his football next season in Spain, with Real Madrid as the 19-year-old is set to snub Liverpool in favour of a move to Madrid, ahead of January.
Signing the youngster will be an expensive task as Dortmund will demand at least €120million (£106m) to part ways with their prized asset. Such a fee being agreed would represent a huge profit for the Bundesliga side, who paid £22million to sign Bellingham from boyhood club Birmingham City in July 2020.
The report notes Liverpool will not give up hope of signing Bellingham, who has a close relationship with Jordan Henderson and Trent Alexander-Arnold. The trio were members of Gareth Southgate's England squad which reached the quarter-finals of the World Cup in Qatar and were often seen spending time together.
