Manchester United Star Withdrawn From International Squad Due To Injury

Manchester United Youngster Mason Greenwood has suffered a blow after being withdrawn from England under 21 squad. He suffered an injury at the verge of the beginning of the international games.

Greenwood has been instrumental in the United squad for scoring 22 goals in all competitions this season. The last goal he scored before his injury was against Leicester City in an embarrassing 3-1 loss. England coach Aidy Broothroyd has called Norwich's Todd Cantwell as a replacement for Greenwood in the 23 man squad.

Withdrawal of Greenwood means that Diogo Dalot of Portugal and Matej Cover of Czech Republic are the Manchester United representative in the tournament. Greenwood has been a boost for the squad and his absence will be of impact in the squad because of the tight schedule of games. They will face Switzerland, Portugal and Germany as their first games in the tournament.
