Two PL Midfielders Who are Forming Partnership Like That of Iniesta and Xavi

When it comes to the best midfielders in football former Barcelona players Xavi Hernandez and Andres Iniesta are regarded as the best midfielders in their club’s history some of the finest in the world to play the beautiful game.

They had an unbreakable partnership which was the main success of both Spain and Barcelona in the late 2000s and early 2010s. They won every trophy in football at the club level and national team. Every team in Europe wants to have such great midfielders but it is not that easy.

This season in the Premier League we have seen the emergence of great players ho some can be considered world-class. Four midfielders Jack Grealish, IIkay Gundogan, Paul Pogba, and Bruno Fernandes are the most improved this campaign.

However, the two Man United stars Pogba and Fernandes have been playing together for a few matches this season and they have been outstanding for Ole Gunnar. The two players decide matches on their own especially when United is struggling.

That is clear when Pogba took his team through to the quarter-finals of the Europa League on Thursday night scoring a superb goal in the second half. Before the French playmaker got injured, he has formed a great partnership with Fernandes which was going to win the league if he had not suffered the injury.

The two players were the reason United were trailing at the top of the table and in Pogba’s absence United was second with no time and the gap between them and Manchester City continued getting bigger every week.

If Pogba won’t be sold by Ole United will be unstoppable in midfield and the two players could be the new Xavi and Iniesta in football and it will be exciting to watch them playing together. The two players can bring huge success to the club and they just have to maintain their form as the glory days might return next season.
