Manchester United and Portugal national team striker Cristiano Ronaldo was thrown into mourning after they lost one of their twin babies with his expectant wife.

The Manchester United star player is set to miss out on the match against Liverpool this evening at the Anfield football club as he was given some time off due to the family loss.

According to reliable Sky Sports news reports, both the Manchester United and Liverpool fans are set to stand with and honour Cristiano Ronaldo by applauding to him in the seventh minute of the match.

The reports claim that other than the fans applause, the players from both sides will show respect to Cristiano Ronaldo and his family by wearing black arm bands.

"Manchester United have confirmed there will be a fan-led minute’s applause in the seventh minute of the game tonight. Both teams will also wear black armbands as a mark of respect for Cristiano Ronaldo and his family." The reports stated.
