Good evening and welcome to my daily sports updates.Tap on the follow link on the top right corner if you haven't done so to receive more news.Welcome.

Former Harambee Stars striker Jesse Jackson Were bagged himself an award for being the most lethal striker for Kansanshi Dynamos in Zambia. Were joined the side in January from Zesco United and went ahead to score six goals.Although, the side missed in the CAF confederation Cup,Were was awarded for his Stellar performance. He joins other Kenyan players who have already bagged themselves awards with the likes of Michael Olunga winning the golden boot awards in Qatar, David Owino alias Calabar winning the most disciplined player for his side, Vincent Harper won the young player award in English side Eastleigh FC.

The awards only tells you how far Kenyan players have gone.Kenya has all sorts of talents,if they are well nurtured we could be among the African powerhouses as far as football is concerned. Another Kenyan, Joseph Okumu has been nominated for player of the season award for his Belgium side KAA Gent. Okumu has scored three goals for the side in his debut season since joining them from Swedish allavaskan side Elfsborg. We wish them all the best ahead.
