Valencia defender, Mouctar Diakhaby was allegedly subjected to a racial abuse by Cadiz player Juan Cala. This comes a few days after Rangers Midfielder Glen Kamara was also allegedly racially abused by Slavia prague's Ondrej Kudela during their champions league match.
Diakhaby reacted furiously which forced his teammates to walk off the pitch. Valencia through a statement posted on their Twitter handle criticised the behaviour and showed their support for the player
"We offer our complete backing to @Diakhaby_5. The player, who had received a racial insult, requested that his teammates return to the pitch. WE SUPPORT YOU MOUCTAR."
The game eventually resumed later after Mouctar asked his teammates to complete the game but he couldn't continue and was replaced by Hugo Guillamon.
Valencia has sternly denounced the act and racism of any kind " The team have held a meeting and decided to continue the game, in order to fight for the honour of the club, but denounce racism of any kind."
